Days 28 & 29 (Aug 4th & 5th) Sunrise & Drive to Chewonki campground

Day 28
4 Aug 2016

At 4:15am we were ready and joined Gary and Judy to go see the surise on Cadillac Mountain.  There must have been a thousand other people doing the same thing. Good that we went early and managed to find a parking place.

I found a comfortable rock for a pillow and waited for the sunrise.

The Sunrise was beautiful!

Drove back to the campground and took a short nap.
Then we hooked up and started driving toward
Chewonki Campground in Wiscasset, Me.

We drove Hwy 1 and went through many small towns like this. We even spotted a red Cardinal in one of the yards. That was one think Candy
wanted to see.
We droped off the RVs at the campground and decided to go see a state beach.
We drove 23 miles to Popham Beach State Park and had a very enjoyable
time walking on the beach an in the water.
Walking out to the Water over a very large sandy beach

It was low tide so many little sandbars were accessable by walking through shallow pools.

There was a lighthouse out on the point but too far away

Just enjoying the Beach

Walking back to the Car and ready to find a place to eat Dinner.

Day 29
5 Aug 2016
Left the Chewonki Campground at 9:00 am and drove  to The Exeter Elms campground in Exeter, NH.

Arriving in Exiter we found a Quilt shop for Judy and Garnet and parked in
this school yard parking lot.  Summer vacation so no cars.

Then we walked to this local diner for lunch.  The food
was pretty good.

After having to back into another tight spot with trees we relaxed, had dinner and went to the Campground Bingo night.  We all donated to their pot and didn't win a single game.
