Days 60, 61, & 62 (Mon, Tue, Wed ) 5,6,&7 Sep.

Day 60
Mon 5 Sep 16

Spent most of the day around the RV Park doing Laundry and relaxing.  In the evening we went to a dinner show
These were the performers at the show.
This was the young 25 Yr. old country singer who's music disc Candy purchased, so he posed for a picture with her. He even signed the disc.  We really liked his songs and music.

Day 61
Tue 6 Sep 16

Drove 92 miles today into Kentucky to the Mammoth Caves State Park
Cave Country RV Park Office
After getting setteled in the RV Park we headed for the Mommoth Caves State Park
Candy went on the Frozen Niagara tour with Ken and Garnet which lasted 1 hr.  I went on the Domes and Dripstones tour with Gary and Judy which lasted 2 hours.  The Domes and Dripstones Tour started with a 4 mile bus ride from the visitor center to the New Entrance to Mammoth Cave. We descended a total of 500 stairs with approximately 280 stairs through a dramatic series of domes and pits. Continued the journey through large Mammoth sized passages and concluded the cave experience as we took a short walk through a variety of dripstone formations. The tour exited at the Frozen Niagara Entrance to the cave where we boarded a bus for our ride back to the visitor center. It was a great way to see the many faces of some of Mammoth Cave's passage ways.
The Yellow on the map shows where over 400 miles of caves are in the Mammoth Cave system.  Only about 12 miles of caves are open to the public.
Here we decend the 500 steps.
Traaveling through the cave system - More steps going up.
